JUNGLE DIVERS COZUMEL

Jungle Divers Cozumel is a great dive shop located in San Miguel, Cozumel and owned by Stephan Borloz Pelletier & Alexandra Pelletier Herati.  Staying in Cozumel and diving for 3 weeks and 28 dives in June and another 26 in October, we got to know them pretty well.

From the first contact, Alexandra  was responsive and helpful in setting up our dive itinerary for our dive group of 6. Typically, you will be picked up at the pier if you are in the reef diving zone and straight out to do your double tank dives from there.

Fruit and water is the typical surface interval snack and this blows it away.

We’ve Gone Coastal Cozumel guests are picked up and dropped off directly from our Costa del Sol private pier.

Also provided, are snacks, soda and the coveted lollipops that are so fantastic after the dives.

Lunch is served on the boat during the surface interval and the food was great. This was my first experience to get a full meal in between dives and was a great plus.

After consistently seeing incredible underwater photos on social media sites, my husband, Jeff (we call him Jeffe’) found their Facebook page and we began to see the magnificent photos and videos such as the Moray Eel Hunting, they shared on social media.

As a professional underwater photographer, Stephan’s ability to capture the true beauty of the sea had me hooked.  Make sure that you chat with Steph during the boat rides and surface intervals. He has a wealth of knowledge from traveling and living all over the world (Thailand, Bahamas, Egypt, Okinawa).

If there is a dive location you want to know more about, ask him!

Jeffe’ showing Dory some love

I referenced earlier how impressed I was by Stephan’s photography and during the last week,

I put up my GoPro-8, rented their Olympus Tough TG-6 Underwater Camera (Olympus Tough TG-7 Underwater Camera is the newest version) and took underwater photography lessons from Steph.

Selfie time

Now it’s my turn to get some great shots. I am still learning but love this camera.

Wow, what a difference.  The GoPro is great but you better not try the Olympus Tough TG-6 unless you are prepared to buy a new camera.

Yep – I did!

Arrow Crab hiding in Vase Sponge

I ended up with 3 batteries and it has worked great for days when I do a two tank dive and then a night or later afternoon dive.

Web Burrfish - This may be my favorite pic of all - Thanks to your help Stephan!

Don’t you know it - It is always when you don’t have the battery charged that you see the free swimming eels!!

Can you say, VIP customer service?!  They can pick you up from many of the hotel and vacation rental docks on the island and if you do have to meet them at the marina, it is easy to get to. Boats are roomy and not overloaded.

Remember that as a We’ve Gone Coastal Cozumel guest, you will be picked up from our own private pier.

Caribbean Reef Octopus

Jungle Divers Cozumel will store and sanitize your equipment between dives which made it so easy to just arrive at the boat dock and jump on the boat.  Make sure to tip well as they deserve it for making dive trips so easy and providing such great customer service.

Spanish Slipper Lobster

Something else that really impressed me with Jungle Divers Cozumel and that was the length of the dives.

They don’t rush you out of the water … What ???

Yeah, I know - but seriously.

I love to dive with them because on top of the excellent VIP service, we consistently had the longest dive times we have had anywhere. They don’t rush you out of the water. They truly create a relaxing experience.

Make sure to do a night dive or two.

We did a boat and a shore night dive. Both were fantastic. On one of the shore night dives we actually lost count of all the octopus we saw. It was the best 80 minute night dive ever!
