Where is We’ve Gone Coastal Cozumel Beach in Villas Costa Del Sol located and how far is it from the Cozumel International Airport?

We’ve Gone Coastal Cozumel A4 is located in Villas Costa del Sol, on Coastal Highway South 12.8 KM. Only 10 minutes from San Miguel and 9.5 miles (20 minutes) from the airport, our private community sits on the water side of the Coastal Highway, between the Aquarium & Secrets Aura. What are my transportation options in Cozumel?

We are easily accessible by taxi, shuttle or rental car and only a short ride from the Cozumel International Airport. Your transportation options for getting around Cozumel are car rental, scooter rental or taxi.

If you choose to rent a car, navigating Cozumel is fairly easy with the help of Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze. A rental car allows you to easily access the grocery store, restaurants and to explore the island. Best practice is to not leave anything valuable in the vehicle where it can be seen. Do not leave items such as bags with money/keys on the beach to go into the water without them being supervised, as this creates an easy opportunity for theft. Our vehicle remains in our allocated parking spot full time but you can park your rental cars across the street from the palapa, which is manned by guards 24 hours a day.

If you would prefer not to drive, we can help arrange taxi service or a private driver. Hertz and Avis are inside the airport while Budget, Alamo and Thrifty are nearby. It is very important to remember that Mexico requires third party liability insurance on all cars rented in Mexico regardless of your auto policy and credit card coverage in your home country. We recommend that you purchase collision insurance if you have not confirmed coverage with your credit card company.

By ferry from Playa Del Carmen - There is a taxi stand on the main road, Av. Rafael E. Melgar near the ferry terminal exit. Give the driver the address of Costa del Sol, Carretera Costera Sur km 12.5 in the South Hotel Zone and you will be dropped off at the entrance of the property.

Will someone be available to check us in when we arrive at the beach villa?

When you arrive at Costa del Sol, check in with Security at the front gate and they will have someone escort you to the villa. You will use the key code provided prior to your stay for keyless entry. You will have our contact information for any questions or needs during your stay.

How can I communicate with home?

The WhatsApp messaging app is the easiest way to be able to communicate with others on the island as well as back home. The app can be used to make calls and send messages via an internet connection or data network.

If you would like to be able to communicate with restaurants for reservations or arrange for excursions and services, communication is typically done over WhatsApp.

Where do I get Groceries?

Shop On Your own or order for in store pickup - only a short 10 minute drive from the beach villa.

If you prefer to shop on your own for groceries & personal items, your options are Mega and Chedraui (supermarket, grocery stores & department stores all in one) along the water front or Sam’s Club located a bit inland from Chedraui. All three are located about 15 minutes from Costa Del Sol.

Order for Delivery:

We can help arrange for your groceries to be purchased and delivered to your vacation home for a small fee. You may choose to use this option in order to save some time not grocery shopping while on your vacation.

Is there a liquor store nearby?

Liquor/Beer/Wine can be purchased at the supermarket but if you would like a liquor store for more variety, I have included the one I use below.

La Europea Cozumel is a great liquor store located across from Mega Supermarket. They are usually open 1100 am - 4:30 Monday - Saturday, closed on Sundays and offer in store shopping or delivery.

How far is We’ve Gone Coastal Beach Villa from the beach?

Our villa sits about 40 steps from the beach and pool facilities.

Is the water safe to drink?

We’ve Gone Coastal Villa has an ultraviolet purification system to purify the tap water that supplies the showers, sinks, dishwasher, ice-maker and laundry facilities. We do also provide bottled water.

What does it mean that you listed your vacation rental as family friendly?

We consider ourselves a family friendly villa. Being that we have our own grandchildren, we have provided some of the necessities that make vacationing with children a little easier. You will find a pack n play, plates, cups & utensils for children. You will also find some children’s books, toys and sand toys. The sandy beach between the pool and water line provide a great area for children to play in the sand. The community pool has a wading pool that younger children may prefer to play in.

What is available for divers?

Divers love this location, which is close to some of Cozumel's best dives sites, and provides a private pier for boat pickup. After diving, snorkeling or exploring the island, everyone enjoys the large infinity pool and beachfront palapa’s.

This beautiful villa is only minutes from world famous reefs, and with the 130 foot private pier, you can be picked up by a dive company of your choice just steps from your back door.
